Dee and Kevin Baker

"We care about couple relationships and we want to start a conversation with others that share the desire to see more leaders and partners have thriving relationships. "

American International School of Guangzhou - China

Dee and Kevin have over 30 years of experience in International Schools in the EARCOS region, having served in Hong Kong, Korea and now in China at the American International School of Guangzhou.  Dee and Kevin are from the US and call Omaha, Nebraska home when they are not in Asia. They have four children: Clayton, Bailey, Ashley and Zac. Dee is a retail merchandiser who has made a career as a full time volunteer at their respective schools, cultivating relationships with faculty, staff, parents and students. Kevin is a school director and professional leadership coach and consultant, supporting career development and leaders in transition. Together, as an experienced international leadership couple, Kevin and Dee are passionate about the sustainability and well-being of leaders and their relationships.

“We talk about the importance of relationships in our personal wellbeing, we talk about embracing people’s lives, but we do not talk or provide space for a conversation about the wellbeing of our most important relationship – that with our spouse or partner. There is no place or safe space to get support as a couple, to share challenges as a couple” Kevin and Dee Baker

“Too often, the partner or spouse of an international school leader is ‘the invisible person’. They are often not included in the life of the school or community. Yet, this person is the most important person and support in the life of the leader” Kevin and Dee Baker
